2006 UMAF CHAMPIONSHIP |
The first UMAF
tournament of the 2006 season is now in the books. It was an exciting day
with lots of fun and good competition. Click one of the links below to see
the current standings. Here are a few points to keep in mind for the
championship season:
- UMAF dues
must be current. This is $25/year and can be paid right here on the
web site.
- Competition
Age is your age as of July 1st. I tried to ensure the ages were correct,
and bumped up the competitor if changing age brackets. Please double
check to be sure the age of the competitor is correct.
- If you feel
you will be moving up a division (i.e. novice to intermediate) before
September go ahead and compete in the upper division. Your points will
not follow you from one division to the next. Talk with your instructor
if you have questions about this.
- Finishing
1st, 2nd or 3rd at a UMAF sponsored tournament will qualify you for the
championships. Points will be used for seeding at the championship.
- The
championship will be decided by the total score of forms and sparring.
Make sure you compete in both, and practice up on your weak areas.
